Different dimensions and shapes for an easily configurable product range, featuring elegant design and modern lines with deep attention to safety details, such as anti-reflection and anti-fingerprint treatments, guaranteeing perfect visibility.
These products were developed in-house by our team of electronic engineers and were designed to cater for mid to small customers in the field of motorcycles, trucks, earth-moving and agricultural vehicles who are looking for an off-the-shelf product that can be customized.
Tailor your device through MTA Studio or through Android Studio, according to your wish.
MTA Studio is a specific tool used to program dashboards, displays and electronic control units which have been developed with customizable functions allowing the customers to create “tailored” devices.
MTA Studio application logic
- There are specific functions used to program the devices, the graphical HMI and the logic control units.
- HMI programmed using a WYSIWYG GUI (What You See Is What You Get).
- Logic functions programmed using graphical programming languages compliant to standard IEC61131-3 (LD, Ladder diagram and FBD, Function block diagram).
- For the logic is also possible to use C/C ++.
- Real-time debugger function.
- Libraries with pre-defined blocks (SAE J1939, DM1 alarm logics, datalogger, hourmeters, …).
- Code Protection using a HASP USB dongle to prevent unauthorized access.
- These customizations can be done by the customer or by MTA.
MTA offers a customized version of Android Studio (the worldwide integrated development environment for Google’s Android OS) to enable the customers to easily program dashboards and displays.
The tool
The Android Studio Design Editor features a “What You See Is What You Get” (WYSIWYG) environment. In addition, MTA provides a set of clear and customizable graphic components (Widget Library) to enable the developers to easy create and configure advanced UIs.
Faster developer phase is guaranteed by the Android ecosystem that gives access to rich API and functionality. The Android Framework has been extended to give access to all common automotive interfaces (CAN, LIN, Digital I/O, Analog). The vehicle data can be configured through a dedicated Android Studio Data Modelling Plugin developed by MTA.
MTA proposes 3 widget library styles, designed for agriculture, industrial or construction field.
Application logic
The developers can use dedicated API for the control unit logic. Logic functions, developed by using graphical programming languages or natively Java customizations, can be done directly by the customers or can be offered by MTA.
Giotto, Giotto K and Leonardo can be programmed with Android Studio.
The range of customizable products includes the Spot, Quik and Quik Plus, Revo and Revo Plus, Smart instrument clusters, whose different display sizes, dimensions, shapes and specifications meet many requirements of vehicle manufacturers. In the range of products that can be customized with MTA Studio there are the two control units, Dyna and Actua, intended to drive actuators.
Four displays have been added to our range, Zip (3.5"), Giotto (8"), Giotto K (8") and Leonardo (12").
