In October 2014 we opened a sales branch in Shanghai to be close to local manufacturers and car makers that have established large plants in the area. Now, production has started. We opened our Chinese plant, MTA Automotive Parts (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., in the Jinshan industrial district, easily accessible from Pudong International Airport and well connected to the South Shanghai railway station. The production area is located within the modern Shanghai Liando Uvalley industrial park and its main activity is the assembly of electromechanical control units. The opening of a molding department is also planned for this location.

From March 8th to9th, the city of Berlin hosted the ISO/TC meeting of the WG 5 Group where MTA attended together with other fuses producers and car manufacturers.
This kind of event has the aim to update and optimize the international standards for the protection ofelectrical automotive systems.
This year meeting the discussion mainly concerned the insertion of M8Compact and Maxi8C fuse families in 8820 ISO Standard as well as the MegaCompact in the 20934 ISO Standard.
The 3 families of fuses belong to the Compact range that MTA introduced to meet the latest demands of a market that requires increasingly smaller and lighter fuses.
